Submission
ISD 2025 invites original papers, not currently under review or published elsewhere (apart from the category of Journal-First papers), describing results that broadly belong to the conference topics. All the submissions will be checked on plagiarism and AI writing.
All submissions must be written in English and submitted in PDF format to a selected conference track via the EasyChair conference management system. Simultaneous submissions to multiple tracks are not allowed. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reassign submissions to a different track if deemed a better fit, based on recommendations from the Track Chairs. Please note that such reassignments do not constitute grounds for appeal in the event of a paper’s rejection.
The maximum length for submissions is as follows:
- Research papers
- Full papers: 12 pages, including all references and appendices
- Short papers: 8 pages, including all references and appendices
- Posters: 4 pages, including all references and appendices
- Journal-First papers: the information about the journal paper is indicated in the EasyChair system, and the PDF file of the original publication (of any length) must be uploaded.
If necessary, participants may add one additional page to their submission for an extra fee, regardless of the submission type. This option is particularly intended for manuscripts with multiple authors or those requiring more extensive acknowledgments. However, further extensions beyond this single page are not permitted. The ISD conference series does not follow a free-format submission policy. All submissions (except for Journal-First papers) must be formatted according to the guidelines provided in the official templates.
Authors are permitted to use Generative AI tools for specific aspects of their work, such as editing and proofreading (e.g., Grammarly or ChatGPT). However, submissions must represent exclusively human intellectual contributions. If Generative AI has been utilized beyond basic spelling, grammar, and punctuation checks, authors are required to disclose its use in the acknowledgments section.
All manuscripts, except for Journal-First Papers, will undergo a double-blind peer review process. To maintain author anonymity, all personally identifying information must be removed from the manuscript prior to submission. Authorship changes after submission are not permitted without explicit approval from the Programme Chair. Papers that are not anonymized, fall outside the conference scope, or do not adhere to the required template may be desk-rejected. Additionally, any instance of academic misconduct, regardless of when it is identified, will be subject to appropriate actions, including the official retraction of published articles with a formal notice.
